Parent Support.

Testimonials.

"My son Keone came through the Friday community fun night and now plays for the under 9’s. He has always been an outgoing child but since joining the Wrightchoice program his confidence has grown. They are taught fair play and how to enjoy the game and on many occasions the skills they have learnt have put them above the rest. Thanks to all at Wrightchoice, the work you are doing is excellent"

Michael Cox (parent of Keone Williams-Cox)

Parents have an enormous influence on children’s enjoyment and success in various areas of a child’s life. We at Wrightchoice recognise this fact and do our utmost to encourage parents to be actively involved in their child’s development. This is done by providing the necessary support needed for the child to have positive life experiences throughout their social, academic and sporting development.

Wrightchoice CSA believes in providing our young people with all the support needed for them to succeed. In instances where we need to provide families with additional assistance, we believe in doing so with the greatest willingness and enthusiasm.

Whether support comes by providing transport to training and matches, or through having conversations and giving advice, Wrightchoice CSA embraces this responsibility and is fully committed to assisting in young people's lives through the family unit.

The Parent Champion.

The parent champion is a vital part of successful organisation in a Wrightchoice CSA team. It is clear that when we are working with children in a football team there are a few more matters that have to be dealt with than what actually happens on the football pitch.

So the role of the parent champion is about working with the manager of the team to make sure organisational issues are dealt with. These are things like collecting subs and sorting out any problems parents, officials and the players might have on a match day.

The main responsibilities of the parent champion are as follows:

  • To collect and document payment of subs and ensure match day fee is paid at venue
  • Be the point of contact for any queries from parents
  • Be on hand to assist manager when called upon

The parent champion of each team is just as important as the players, parents and manager in ensuring that match days for everyone involved is able to run smoothly. By being a positive link between the team manager and the parents the parent champion can really help to create the family atmosphere we want to have every time we come together to support our players on a match day.
