Our Philosophy

We at Wrightchoice provide exciting innovative sessions designed to ensure players have plenty of contact time with the ball. Our belief is that technical ability can be developed in players from a very young age and we structure our work around this viewpoint. Our staff offer a variety of sessions, which develop balance & control, co-ordination, dribbling technique, passing and technique. We believe in encouraging creativity from players on the pitch.

Simon Chandler – Founder/Project Manager

Job Role

As Founder/Project Manager Simon is responsible for the establishment and the overall development of Wrightchoice Community Sports Association. Simon has developed the charity to give an opportunity to children and youths so he has the job of fathering the organisation and ensuring the charity works for the benefit of the members of Wrightchoice CSA, both in the present and in the future. Simon works alongside the staff and volunteers of Wrightchoice to make sure the teams and community projects continue to have a positive effect on the lives of children and young people in the community.

Simon collaborates with the local authorities, schools, funders and the general community with the aim of making Wrightchoice CSA the most effective sports charity in dealing with the needs of disadvantaged children and youths.

Personal History

I have always had a real passion for football and through my childhood sport played a big role in my development as a person. I was involved at Chelsea as a schoolboy, apprentice and 1st year professional so I have had a bit of experience into the elite areas of sport.

I developed Wrightchoice because I feel that sport can play a serious part in the holistic development of the children in our community. We started this organisation with one U9’s team and the fact that we have started this season with 11 teams as well as our community projects shows the progressive nature of this organisation.

I am extremely committed to the work of the charity and I am looking forward to see us grow to affect the lives of more and more children and young people in the future.
