The Community Football Session was Wrightchoice CSA's first regular community event.
When the founder Simon Chandler first registered the charity, it was because it was difficult for children to have access to fully qualified coaches in a safe environment, unless they played for a team. Since then we have enabled thousands of children to have that opportunity, some of them going on to play for one of our teams, and a number being selected to go through our academy and on to a professional football club academy.
This session is run on a Friday evening between 6.30 - 7.30pm, we regularly have over 50 young people attending. These sessions are aimed at boys & girls aged between 4-14, the groups are split in to age and ability specific.
At Wrightchoice our ethos is to include everyone who attends. We emphasis this via our sessions that are tailored for all to feel included, to have fun regardless of individual's ability whilst enjoy playing football, all who attend can feel can develop friendship instead of orthodox boring football drills, so that everyone can join.
