Welcome.

Our ‘we’re gonna make it’ motto serves as a reminder that Wrightchoice Community Sports Association is driven by the spirit of achievement. We believe that if an individual is placed in the correct environment and is nurtured by appropriate mentors that they have every chance of achieving in any walk of life and can overcome all barriers and challenges.

The Untouchables

Congratulations to the 1st Team who went through the season unbeaten and won the league. For the last four years, the 1st Team have gone from Division 3 to the Premier league as champions, which is a fantastic achievement. Next season will be a big test for Wrightchoice playing in the top division and hopefully the team can put in another title challenge.

Wrightchoice Community Sports Association is a voluntary organisation based in Reading, Berkshire. It was formed in September 2003 by Mr Simon Chandler. The organisation was set up to raise the attainment and achievement of disadvantaged children and young people. This is provided by quality sports training and skills development, promoting education and healthy living.

The founders and management committee of Wrightchoice are individuals from the local Reading community who have a passion for sport and a recognised expertise in football. Concerned about the continuing lack of attainment and achievement of children in the most deprived areas in Reading (particularly those from the black and minority ethnic (BME) communities, they've developed a mini soccer project to provide safe, constructive activities outside of school hours. This is done in a professional manner to encourage discipline and promote self-confidence.

The programme also strives to encourage youths to attain in education, teaching them how to look after their bodies. It enables parents to support their children in a healthy and holistic way, in step with their natural physical and mental development. This in turn promotes a football-life balance.

People often ask why I chose to name the sports charity Wrightchoice. The answer is that although our organisation's expertise lies in sports, we are focused on excelling young people and assisting them in making the correct life choices.
